Commercial "soaps" aren't actually soap at all. You won't find the term "soap" on them because they are detergents, formulated in a lab with chemicals and synthetic ingredients.

Handmade soaps are made with oils, liquids and lye, mixed during the saponification process. We use the High Temperature Fluid Hot Process method, which drives saponification to completion in the pot rather than over weeks of curing.

Commercial soaps remove the glycerin during manufacturing and sell it for other uses. Handmade soaps retain it. Glycerin is a humectant, which helps draw moisture into the skin.

Every person's skin is different and while we are unable to determine each individual reaction, we have done rigorous testing with the customer's safety front of mind. If you are known to have highly sensitive skin, we suggest testing the product on a small area of the body.

Free shipping on orders over $35 to the lower 48 states. Below $35, live USPS rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order, so you only pay what it actually costs to send.

We generally ship via USPS Ground as our standard service. Delivery estimates shown at checkout come from the carrier and are estimates, not guarantees.

Please note that our shipping rates are weight-based. The weight of an item can be found on its product page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights are rounded up to the next full pound.

ALASKA AND HAWAII

We ship to Alaska and Hawaii via USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Priority Mail, with rates calculated at checkout. The free shipping threshold does not apply to these two states.

PROCESSING TIME

Orders ship on business days only — Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday are processed the next business day. We know you are waiting on it, and we work to get every order out the door as quickly as we can.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We ship internationally via DHL Express, with rates calculated at checkout. Any customs duties, import taxes or brokerage fees are set by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. These are not included in the shipping rate you pay us.
